One is a vent line And the other goes to the purge canaster. i only have two lines coming off my fuel tank on an olds delta 88 1993 do both have fuel filters
That would be the fuel tank vent valve. Be Careful! To replace this little gem will cost you between $25.00 & $30.00. I know this because I broke the neck off the one in my Blazer and had to replace it the other day when I replaced the fuel pump!
I do not have A diagram, But there are 3 lines, BIG ONE is supply to engine, Medium one is Return from engine, small one is VENT, Hope this helps, Jamison
that is called a fuel tank vent valve there are two kind's one you can remove from the tank this part is sold at most auto parts stores the 2nd one is permanent and can not be remove you will need to buy a new tank try e-bay got one for under $100.00
There isn't one. You have to remove the fuel tank. There isn't one. You have to remove the fuel tank.
You do not remove the top of the tank as the tank is one piece. You remove the fuel tank from the vehicle in order to access the fuel pump.
Inside the fuel tank. The fuel filter is NOT located inside the tank. It is directly in front of the fuel tank. The fuel filter not only is there one in-line there is one in the tank also they call it a fuel pump module its a entire asembly it has everything in one unique, hard to replace, very expensive package..
there should be two straps holing it up I think each one only has one nut or bolt holding it. just loosen these nuts (not all the way yet) remove the tank fill hose and the tank vent hose from the side of the bed. Then lower the tank till you can remove the fuel pump assembly. You'll need a flathead screwdriver and small hammer to remove the fuel pump assembly. one the assembly is loose you can go ahead and drop the tank. Installation is in reverse order. Also I would recommend a jack to help support the tank and to siphon the fuel out of the tank before hand as It can get heavy. ~ D
One fuel tank, one washer tank, one coolant tank.
The only float on an 89 Jeep is for the fuel level, and its in the fuel tank, attached to the fuel pump.
One can purchase a used fuel tank from any junkyard or automobile scrap yard. One can also purchase used fuel tanks on sites like Ebay and Kijiji. An alternative to buying a used fuel tank, would be to have the original tank repaired with fiberglass.
Their are a fw.. but the main one I'd bet your thinking of is the Fuel tank vent valve. Inside the gas cap door back where the hinge tucks away there is a vent tube that allows air out when gas goes in, also for expansion/contraction from heat and cooling. Crawl under the car and feel up behind the wheel well for where the fill tube is. The larger one is for the gas, the smaller is the vent tube. If you follow that down, right near the rear suspension there is a cylindrical valve on the tube that looks liek what you'd see on a propane tank for a grill. That'sa the one! I think there's another on the evaporative collection tank too, but that's much harder to get and and repalace. start with the vent tube if you have an issue.
