Where the fuse for the side rail on my truck
No , the fuse box is totally different in the 1997 and 2005 Mercury Mountaineer
looking for a diagram for 1999 Mercury Mountaineer. Need to take the fuse out for the seatbelt alarm, it will not shut off.

On a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer : The passenger compartment fuse panel is under the dash , on the drivers side and the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) is located in the engine compartment , on the drivers side of the engine compartment
The mountaineer has a fuse box under the drivers side dash ,and it has two horn fuses , right horn fuse ,and left horn fuse.

According to the 2008 Mercury Mountaineer owners manual : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment near the brake fluid reservoir : ( mini fuse # 28 is a 20 amp fuse for the heated SEATS )
