The fuse diagram usually is in the fuse box or vehicle manual for the vehicle. If it can not be found there the manufactures webpage has a diagram.
According to the 2008 Mercury Mountaineer owners manual : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment near the brake fluid reservoir : ( mini fuse # 28 is a 20 amp fuse for the heated SEATS )
On a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment ( maxi fuse # 4 is a 30 amp fuse for the power seat , power windows and power moon roof ) There are also other fuses listed for the memory seat and heated seats You can view the 1999 Mercury Mountaineer owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( the fuse section starts on page 170 )
The motor of the seats either is broken, or the car is just getting old.
Power seats are usually on a breaker, not a fuse.
Hi! If you don't have your manual, click the link. Click on your year, then click on your vehicle. From there, you can click on the manual and get all the info you need, including a fuse box diagram!
Oh, dude, adding third-row seating to a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer is like trying to turn a bicycle into a motorcycle - technically possible, but a whole lot of work. You'd have to find compatible seats, modify the interior, and probably spend a good chunk of change. So, yeah, you can do it, but it's not exactly a walk in the park.
Under the hood, #10, a 30A Maxi fuse, controls power seats and windows too.
There is a round push button on the side panel of each front seat, located between the seat and the door. Push this button to activate or deactivate the heated seat feature.
Use the controls on the door panel. Theres also one that will move the steering wheel in and out.
the controls are on the doors for driver and passenger seats.
Check your manual. There is a fuse for the seat motors, pretty sure it is independent of anything else.
Check your owners manual. If you don't have one copy & paste this link. http://www.genuineservice.com/genuineservice/en/gloveboxresults
