The fuel filter on a 1988 Ford Festiva is located on the drivers side lower fire wall. The bracket is typically to rusted that you may wish to consider relocating the filter, or just putting in an aftermarket in-line filter.

The 1995 Ford F3 50 temperature gauge sending unit can be found on the top of the engine. The temperature gauge sending unit will be near the middle of the intake manifold.
