Private hospitals
Private schools often have more resources and funding to invest in facilities, such as modern technology, specialized equipment, and smaller class sizes. This can lead to better facilities compared to public schools in some cases. However, there are exceptions, and some public schools may also have excellent facilities, depending on their location and funding.
Education can be public. Education can also be private.
Its a public good.

public
Public facilities often require significant investment and long-term commitment that may not yield immediate profits, making them less attractive to the private sector. Additionally, public goods, such as roads, parks, and education, are essential for societal welfare and equity, and their provision may not align with profit motives. The private sector may also prioritize access based on ability to pay, leading to inequalities in service provision. Government involvement ensures that these facilities are accessible to all citizens, regardless of socioeconomic status.
the right to use public facilities...
in my opinion public schools really are not any worse than private schools. as long as the public school has a good reputation a person can learn just as much as in a private school.
The disadvantage of public hospitals is that they are mostly overcrowded. They do have good facilities but they sometimes may not have enough facilities for some medical emergency.Even there services are questionable and they are not as professional as private hospitals. The advantage is that they have no eye in profit making and they are open to everyone rich or poor. They are free of cost that means a lot to all the poor people as they are cheaper than private hospitals. They cannot turn away any patients because they treat all patients as equal citizens
In the United States, prisons can be either public or private. Public prisons are operated by government entities at the federal, state, or local levels, while private prisons are run by for-profit companies under contracts with government agencies. The use of private prisons has been a controversial topic, with debates surrounding their impact on incarceration rates, conditions of confinement, and rehabilitation efforts. Overall, the majority of inmates are housed in public facilities.
Parks, games pitches, swimming pools etc. are public recreation facilities.
