The oxygen sensorS that you are interested in are located in the exhaust manifold. (I'm assuming a V6 engine since most of the L-series Saturns I've encountered have all been the Ecotec V6)
Notice where the manifolds come together from each of the cylinders. You should see a device that screws into the exhaust manifold, near the junction. It screws right out but it might be a little difficult to break loose since it's been in a high temperature environment.
Depending on the replacement sensor that you use, you may have the plug in style or you may need to cut/splice the electrical of the new sensor.
An oxygen sensor tool is available that is open at the top to provide a place for the wire while you're working on the sensor.
It's a simple repair, just screw out the old one, put in the new one and connect it. Just make sure you get the wires right.
Even though the computer is only complaining about bank 1, sensor 1... replace BOTH of the front sensors at the same time. Really, it's worth the trouble since you'll be right back at it if you don't. You have 100,000 mile spark-plugs and very little to do for a tuneup on that engine, but the oxygen sensors should be considered an important routine maintenance responsibility.

All oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust either before or after the catalytic converter.
behind the catalytic converter
Oxygen sensor number two would be screwed into the exhaust either after or in the side of the catalytic converter.
Hey Jose==It is in the exhaust pipe. GoodluckJoe
one is front of the cat and one after the cat of the exhaust
Most oxygen sensors are heated oxygen sensors.
