The heater core is located in the middle of the dash behind the center console. You have to take the console out to see the heater core.
remove the entire dashboard.
You can replace the sheer core, on your 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, by removing the water lines. Remove the four bolts that hold the heater core in place. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
remove panel cover in middle of car under dash where the heater core hoses are at that go through the firewall under the hood, this is where the heater core will be located at inside the car start removing screws, until covers come off remove the hoses first though i have to replace the heater core in a 93 Bonneville tomorrow good luck
To replace the heater core on a 2003 Pontiac Aztek, first, disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the cooling system. Remove the dashboard and the center console to access the heater core housing. Disconnect the heater core hoses from the firewall, unbolt the heater core from its housing, and then replace it with the new core. Reassemble everything in reverse order, refill the cooling system, and check for leaks.
You remove the old one and put a new one
The heater core is located on the firewall, in the middle of the car. Exactly behind and below where the heater/a.c. switch and the radio are located. To access it you must remove the the right and left under dash panels, remove the heater floor outlet duct and then remove the screws that secure the heater core cover and remove cover. There are also retaining straps holding the heater core in place.
The heater core is located under the hood in the heater box where the blower motor is. Remove the heater hoses then the box can be unbolted and removed.
like most cars remove the dash. very hard and time consuming
heater core is located behind glove compartment under the dash. remove ash tray and glove compartment remove platic cover under hood remove both heater hoses. under dash remove heater core installation is opposite of removal
There are bolts surrounding the headlamp. remove these and the wires.
towards the center of the firewall on the inside of the car, you have to remove the entire dash to get to it
to replace a heater core first drained cooling system. then disconnect heater hoses located on firewall at back of engine compartment. then go inside vehicle. if you have a console you will want to remove it for easier replace of core. then take off heater core cover, this is located behind heater controls, but just a little lower. there will be 6 or 8 7 mm head screws to remove. the cover is also sealed so it will take a little effort to remove. finally remove the retainer bands from core to remove. that should it. good luck!!!
