Open the hood and stand on the passanger side of the car closest to the hood hinge. Look at the bottom of the intake manifold (right ubove the oil filter) look all the way left see that thick black hose that's the intake for the Idle air control valve. if you fell around you will find 2 electrical connectors; its held on by 4 10mm screws. PITA to take off.

Yes the ecu will work. First disconnect the battery and connect the new one then reconnect the batter. Start up the 240sx and it should work it not it needs to be diagnoste goggle 1990 240sx ECU CODES FOLLOW THE STEPS AND THAT SHOULD WORK I know cause I'm using a 1992 ECU FROM Nissan Stanza. I was told it's alittle advanced on the horse power side and idle moves quicker.

The idle control valve for your 1995 Nissan Maxima can be found on top of the engine. The idle control valve will be attached to the back of the injector fuel pump.
Directly behind the intake manifold with 4 10mm bolts on each corner, there is a 1 inch thick black vacuum hose coming out of the the bottom and 2 clips with wires attached to it coming from it as well
