The 1999 Chevy S 10 pickup truck ignition module can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The ignition module will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
Right under the ignition cap.
The engine computer is the ignition module.
You can change the ignition cylinder on your 1999 Mercury Mystique by removing the retaining ring at the top of the ignition cylinder. The ignition cylinder will slide out. Remove the wiring harness.
Inside the distributor
Remove the retaining ring from the top of your 1999 Chevy Cavalier ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness from the end of it.
The Ignition control module is mounted under the hood. It is on the fire wall right beside the hood strut,
It is part of the engine computer.
Replace the master cylinder.

depeding on what yr it is ... mine being a 1999 is mounted right next to the coil . on the passengers side of the motor . cost me 70 bucks at O'Reilleys

the 1999 Chevy venture does not have distributor cap, he has a electronic module assembly, assembly is module and three coils, they are located on the top of the engine, back in the medium near of the firewall.
