Where is the injector driver module located on a 1999 ford f350 with a 7.3l powerstroke diesel?

its under the most upper left kick panel were the parking brake is its secured by a 10mm bolt that u access under the hood at the drivers side firewall

The first answer is completely wrong!!! The IDM is not located where the PCM is!! LOL!

Yes that's the location of the PCM. The IDM is a completely different module that controls the fuel delivery for the fuel injectors. It is located inside the drivers side wheel well tucked up behind the plastic splash guard. The easiest way I have found to gain access is to turn the wheels all the way to the right. Remove all the bolts securing the splash guard. Their is a series of really small 5mm bolts along the crease a few 10mm bolts further inside wheel well and don't forget to remove the 2 plastic push pins underneath around the left lower corner of the door if these are not removed it makes your life much more difficult. It doesn't need to be completely removed. Using screw drivers and some patience drop down the rear portion closest to the door and pull back and look up. All you will probably see is the connector facing down at you. It has a 10mm bolt securing it. It's similar to the pcm connector. With the connector off you can see how it is mounted up inside. After a couple more 10mm bolts are removed using a long extensions it then needs to be pushed up/down and it will come out with the mount attached. After out remove the last 4 bolts that secure the IDM to the mount and reinstall in reverse order. Good luck it's a little tricky but can be done in an hr or two for first timers.
