If you have an Overdrive transmission 4T60(4T440) and a 3.3L this transmission is modulated in two ways. I has a TV (Throttle Valve) cable that attached to the throttle body at about the same place as the throttle cable (gas pedal). The other part is the vacuum modulator which is on the front side of the transmission and looks like a big can with a rubber vaccum hose connecting it to a metal like that makes a 90 degree turn heads straight up and then bends into the first location on the front side of the vacuum block.
TV cable handles downshifts.
Vacuum Modulator handles harshness.
