Three wire switch on the driver side of trans, just above oil pan.
The switch should be replaced.
Driver side of the transmission case.
The 1995 Chevrolet Van neutral safety switch can be located on the top of the transmission. The switch will be just below the shifter.
Left side of transmission, between pan and shift linkage.
Neutral safety switch is bad.
No it will not. YEAH, BUT IT DID ON MY 1998 DODGE RAM 15 PASSENGER VAN... EVEN WITH MY VAN PARKED ON A 20 DEGREE SLOPE...
It is on the transmission, drivers side!
The neutral safety switch is inside the transmission on the top of the valve body. It is called a range sensor.
it is on the left side of the transmission it will have wires plugged in to it left the left side of the van by running it up a ramp this will keep you from loosing a lot of transmission fluid a socket will remove it it just screws in the transmission
If you can tell me were it is I can tell you how to remove and replace it. I'm having a problem with mine and I can't find the d#m% thing. And it may not be the ignition switch if you van isn't starting it may be the neutral safety switch.
On the 96-2004, you will have to drop the valve body...
On the transmission where the shift linkage attaches.
