The major influences on low latitude climates are the Intertropical Convergence Zone, the Subtropical High Pressure Zone, and the trade winds. Places located within a few degrees of latitude of the equator are influenced almost totally by the Intertropical Convergence Zone. They have large amounts of rainfall all year long. The climate for places located around 30 degrees North or South latitude is dominated by the Subtropical High Pressure Zone. These locales have very little precipitation and are the home of the major tropical deserts of the world. Since the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Subtropical High Pressure Zones move following the sun, locales found in the intermediate latitudes have wet-dry climates. They are influenced by the ITCZ, and thus rain during part of the year. The other part of the year, they are influenced by the Subtropical High Pressure Zones and have little rainfall.

they occur in the polar front, the subpolar low, the subtropical high, and the intertropical convergence zone
The humid subtropical zone is located on the eastern coasts of continents like North America, Africa, and Asia. The climate in the humid subtropical zone is typically very hot and humid during summer mounts and mild during the winter. In North America, the climate associated with Florida is an example of a humid subtropical zone.
