If you look at the end of the bars towards the rear you will see a crossmember that thay are in . look at the crossmember and you will see a bolt head that is in a bracket that is right beside the end of the bars, that is the adjustment bolt for the torsions bars.

How do you replace torsion bars on a 1973 Dodge Challenger?

You remove the metal retaining clips on the back side of the frame / cross member that stop the torsion bar from sliding out. Figure out a way to clamp something to the torsion bar and smack it with a hammer driving the torsion bar towards the rear of the car. PS they do sell tools made to clamp on to the torsion bar. I would also suggest having the wheels off the ground and hanging. Also loosen the nut that adjust the ride height.

How do you replace torsion bars from 1969 dodge corrnet?

The easiest way to replace torsion bars on your Mopar is to jack your car off the ground relive the tension on the adjusting bolts under the lower control arms loosen the nut on the bushing near the fount of the car on the k member then take the clip off the back side of the torsion bar with a pair of pliers on the transmission support you can buy the tool that clamps on the torsion bar to hammer it off or you can use a goose neck off a bicycle and clamp the goose neck on the torsion bar the bicycle goose neck works very well and start hammering it mite take a few swigs make sure you hammer to the rear of your car to the right on the driver side and left on the passenger side

What is the proper torsion bar adjustment for a 2001 2door 4wd Chevy s10 blazer?

To properly adjust your torsion bars, you need to find your "Z" height. First, park the truck on a level surface and measure the height between the ground and the bottom of the knuckle (next to where the lower ball joint's nut is). This is measurement "A". Then, measure between level ground and the center of the rear most lower control arm bolt. This is measurement "B". "B" - "A" = "Z" and "Z" should be between 4.6 inches and 5.2 inches. I just lifted my 2001 2 dr. blazer 6" with a superlift kit. All angles and measurements stay in factory specifications and when you are done you set the torsion bars to factory specifications. I had to adjust my "Z" height last week to factory specifications and followed the directions and picture on page 21 and 22 here: http://www.superlift.com/instructions/3146.pdf .
