it should have a odb II port under dash driver side - either side of steering column
ODB-II code series PO7xx is global transmission. PO753 is probably a shift solenoid, but it depends on the specific car.
All ODB-II compliant vehicles either have the connector at the bottom edge of the dash on the driver's side, or they have a label at that location stating where the actual connector can be found.
There's no such thing as code "55" in the ODB-II
A 1991 is odb I not obdII. The connecter is under the hood.
