Does Barack Obama belong to a Pentecostal Church do they speak in tongues?

No, Senator Obama does not attend a pentecostal church. No, his church does not speak in tounges. to quote a New York Times Article: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/15/us/politics/15wright.html?_r=1&ref=politics&oref=slogin "The United Church of Christ, the denomination of the Chicago church, is overwhelmingly white." Well why not check out their webpage for yourself as part of your "conclusion reaching" process? http://www.tucc.org/home.htm

What does the pente coastal religion believe in?

First of all it is just one word, Pentecostal, and it is not its own religion. Pentecostal is a denomination of the church. Like there are Baptists, Methodists, Assembly of God, Church of Christ, Church of God, Pentecostal,Presbyterian, etc... There is a very long list of denominations which are essentially divisions in the church. This is very sad because God wants us all to be in unity and not have divisions among us. But, no one is perfect and since the fall of man there will never be totalagreement and peace. You can easily search anywhere online and find definitions and history of Pentecostalism But, if you really want to know the truth and not have any bias in your answer than I would suggest finding a pentecostal church and talking to the pastor. I personally attend an Assembly of God church. Assembly of God does practice a lot of the same teaching that the Pentecostals do. In my opinion there is no doctrine that is totally correct in this world. The only thing that you can follow is the Bible and try your best to do God's will.

Are there any eating restriction for the pentecostal religion?

In my experience with Apostolic Pentecostals, there is no dietary practices or beliefs that are peculiar to the denomination or church group. Abstention from alcoholic drinks is really the only thing that I know of, and that is just because the Bible teaches us that drunkenness is not pleasing to God, and that it leads to recklessness and further sin.

The obvious GARNERED WHEAT in the center of the seal represents all of the people of the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. The ROPE of wheat which holds the shaft together represents the Founding Father of the Church, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason, who, at the call of the Lord, banded us together as a Brotherhood of Churches in the First Pentecostal General Assembly of the Church, in 1907. The date in the seal has a two-fold purpose; Firstly, to tell us that Bishop Mason received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in March 1907; and, Secondly, to tell us that it was because of this outpouring that Bishop Mason was compelled to call us together in November of 1907, to organize the Church Of God In Christ. The RAIN in the background represents the Latter Rain or the End-time Revivals which brought about the emergence of our Church along with other Pentecostal Holiness Bodies in the same era. The rain also serves as a challenge to the Church to keep Christ in the center of our worship and service, so that He may continue to use the Church Of God In Christ as one of the vehicles of Pentecostal Revival before the return of the Lord.

Is the Nazarene church like the Assembly of God church?

Oh, what a lovely question! Both the Nazarene Church and the Assembly of God Church are Christian denominations that share some similarities, such as their belief in the Bible and in the teachings of Jesus. However, they also have differences in their specific doctrines, practices, and worship styles. It's wonderful to see your curiosity about different faith traditions - there's so much beauty in diversity!

Why do pentecost women wear long dresses all the time?

In the bible in 1timothy 2:9 it says " In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;" according to the past women wore skirts and not pants. pants (for women) began as a rebellion. in fact the women that invented "bloomers" in the early 1900's never married her husband and in stead had her children 0ut 0f wed l0ck. n0 where in the bible d0es it say that a w0man MUST wear a skirt but pentec0stal, f0ur square and ap0stalic w0men wear them t0 sh0e their l0yalty t0 their husband. the l0rd meant f0r us t0 l00k t0 0ur pasts f0r guidance.
