The oil drain plug on a Rover 75 V6 is located on the oil pan at the bottom of the engine. To access it, you typically need to raise the vehicle and position yourself underneath. The plug is usually a hex or square bolt that can be removed with a suitable wrench. Always ensure to have a container ready to catch the oil when you remove it.

To change the automatic gearbox oil on a Rover 75, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is warm. Remove the oil pan or drain plug to let the old oil drain out completely. Replace the drain plug, then refill the gearbox with the appropriate new oil through the dipstick tube or fill plug, using a funnel. Be sure to check the oil level with the engine running and adjust as necessary, ensuring it is within the recommended range.
you can find the sump plug in rover spares department.
on the bottom of the sump, i think it is a 19mm hex bolt, it does not look like a sump plug it looks like a mounting bolt for the engine but if you can get the car high enough and get good light in you will see it o.k.
yeah
Well if it like my 2004 the oil filter and drain plug should be right up front near the front bumper. First find the oil drain plug. and unscrew that and let the oil drain. Then screw back in the drain plug. Then remove the oil filter and replace that. Fill it back up. By far this car is the easiest for oil changes since everything is located up towards the front. And by doing it yourself you will save about 75 bucks
In a Rover 75, the gearbox oil is typically added through a filler plug located on the side of the transmission casing. To check or change the oil, you'll need to remove this plug, often found near the top of the gearbox. It's important to ensure the vehicle is level when checking the oil level, as it can affect accurate readings. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific details regarding the type and amount of oil required.
Check with your Specification guide - should be 2.4 liters

To remove the sump on a Rover 75 V6, first ensure the engine is cool and drain the engine oil. Then, disconnect any components obstructing access to the sump, such as the oil pickup pipe and bolts securing the sump to the engine block. Carefully remove the sump by loosening the bolts in a crisscross pattern to avoid warping, and gently pry it off if it’s stuck due to sealant. Finally, clean the mating surfaces before installing the new sump.
