If you are asking about the 5.7L engine, Read on!
Believe me it not as easy as you think. The oil filter is up under the skid plate on the 5.7L engine and it's NOT a traditional spin-on filter. I went looking for it, finally I went on the Toyota owners web page to find out how to change the oil filter. After reading that it's a paper filter and requires dropping the skid plate and removing 4 screws to change the filter (If you don't get it sealed right it will leak.) I decided to let Toyota change it and avoid the hassle. ALSO the engine requires 0-20 viscosity oil or in a pinch 5-20 for a short term fix.
I used to do all my own maintenance on my vehicles. Today it's imposable I think I still know how to check the air in the tires and Toyota already has an on-board gauge for that. If you still want to do it, I recommend Toyota oil filters.
Take the skid plate off and it's located in the front of engine toward the driver's side. In the 5.7 engine, it's not a spin on filter. I'll post again if I can find pictures of it.
