Drain the oil from your Chevy oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Remove the oil pan gasket and clean the surface. Put the new gasket on and reverse the process.
It's on the bottom of the oil pan, just look for the large nut on the oil pan.

There is an oil plug mounted at the bottom of the oil pan. The oil pan is mounted to the bottom of the engine. When mounting the oil plug back in the pan, just snugly tighten the bolt. You can strip the threads in the pan if you tighten it too much.
