If you can't find it under the nearside scuttle, it probably doesn't have one. Not all Clio's have a pollen filter.

Yes it will, 1.5 dci was mounted in Clio II ph2, and as pH 2 was facelifting without any major changes in construction it should fit without any problems (using parts from pH 2 clio). It may be possible to even fit 1.9 dci engines as non-turbo 1.9 was mounted in clio before 1.5dci was introduced.

I have a 1.5 dci 2001 and its on the side of the gearbox at the front of the car (passenger's side). It's a plustic plug which is easier to see from the bottom of the car.

What is decompression illness?

It includes decompression sickness, but it is not limited to decompression sickness. It is also not limited to diving even though that is what is mostly thought of when discussing decompression illness or DCI.
