No. The oil pressure sensor is not required for the engine to run.
The fuel level sensor is on the fuel pump module in the fuel tank.
The oil pressure sending unit on a PT cruiser can be found on the upper front cover of the engine. Remove the retaining nut and the sensor will come out. Reverse the process to install the new sending unit.
Can be a blown fuse, defective sending unit, or loose of disconnected wiring. The gauge itself can be bad, but not likely.
The Chrysler Town and Country speedometer sending unit is located on the back of the transmission. The sending unit will be in the upper right-hand corner of the transmission.
Remove the oil pressure sending unit retaining ring. Remove the wiring harness from the sending unit. Poll the sending unit out of the engine.
it means low voltage on the oil pressure sender circuit, most likely a bad oil pressure sending unit.
