If you mean the ninja lord, Basho, who is not a pope, he is the old man to the left of the town who writes haikus. He tells you that Basho was just in town buying eggs. He tricks you, so go into town and help everybody without getting rewarded, and he will reveal himself to you. You need to help the police chief organize the suspects, help the guy under the bridge catch the kappa, bring the sumo-Wrestling bet to the arena, and beat the sumo-wrestler. Then Basho will reveal himself and you will train. Good luck!
