Assuming that you are referring to the downstream oxygen sensor, that will be the one located after the catalytic converter (the exhaust side, not the engine side).
The crank sensor on a 2001 Malibu is located on the bottom of the engine near the crank shaft. It monitors the rotation and speed of the crank shaft.
You can't repair an o2 sensor,You'll half to replace it
on the side of throttle body at throttle plate!!
its located on the side of the throttle body
The oxygen sensor is mounted in the exhaust down-pipe
its is located downstream on the backside exhaust manifold
"Where is the fuel filter located on a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu?"
it is the upper stream o2 sensor before the convertor
behind the catalytic converter
All oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust system. Some have one in the manifold, some have one before the catalytic converter. Then others have one before and one after the converter. It requires a special socket to remove and replace it. Just because your code says oxygen sensor, does not mean it is bad. A vacuum leak can give a code that the sensor is reading lean.
It is the one after the catalytic converter?
