I think its the purple wire coming from the Oxygen sensor!
The oxygen sensor is located just upstream from the catalytic converter. Crawl under the vehicle, and locate the catalytic converter, after the exhaust manifold and before the muffler. There should be a four wire sensor there.
The front o2 sensor is just to the left of the battery. It's a little tube with a wire that is plugged in right before the exhaust pipe.
It is called an oxygen sensor socket.
There isn't a camshaft position sensor. If you are asking because of an error code you received, it is caused by a signal that mimics the same signal as a camshaft position sensor.
It is behind the catalytic converter
Hi , hope you can help me. Can you tell me where the oxygen sensor and the EGR valve are located on my 1997 Buick LaSabre. Thanks
passenger side first sensor before cat
you take it to the people to fix it.
The oxygen sensor reads the amount of oxygen in your exhaust to calibrate your air/fuel mixture. If it reads a higher voltage, the sensor is telling the pcm that you are running rich. Your sensor could be bad or need cleaning. Start with the inspection of the oxygen sensor for carbon deposits and the wire for any pinch or melting. Since it is a 97 you probably need to replace it anyways.
2.2l is behind cat converter
the bank 1 oxygen sensor on a 97 Chevy is going to be either on the left side manifold or in the y-pipe before the catalytic converter it depends on if it is federal or California emmissions
I don't know. I'm just navigating. There are only 2 O2 sensors on a 97 MX6. the first one is rigth off the headers in the front of your car (should see a little wire going to it) 2nd is right after the catalic converter underneath the car
