There isn't a camshaft position sensor. If you are asking because of an error code you received, it is caused by a signal that mimics the same signal as a camshaft position sensor.

The camshaft position sensor for the 3.0L V-6 engine is located in the distributor. Good Luck!
At the back of the engine, looks like a distributor!
On the 97 s series trucks with the hvs, The camshaft sensor is located inside of the distributor.

No such thing exists on a 91-02 Saturn s-series. The above is correct... mostly. Saturn did not use a physical camshaft positioning sensor on any of its S-series vehicles. There is however a pseudo camshaft pulse generated by the ignition control module and sent to the computer. If you are receiving faulty cam position sensor trouble codes, the problem exists in the Ignition control module.
The physical position of the sensor is behind the water pump pulley, where you can see the the cable connection on the cover of the crankshaft and camshaft gears.
If its the same as a 97 it is right on top of the engine near the radiator hose that goes into the radiator. You are wrong, on the 97 that is the CAMSHAFT position sensor on top next to the radiator hose the CRANKSHAFT position sensor is under the car, back of the motor, on the bell housing.
its on top of motor front passenger side behind the throtle.
