Yes , the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder in a 2002 Hyundai Sonata is an interference engine ( according to the Gates website - they make timing belts etc . )
If your engine is Sonata lambada V6 3.3 than you need to refill with 6.23 US quart or 6 liter.
