The Malbu Maxx SS 3.9 liter does use hydralic steering. It's reservoir is located in the engine compartment and clearly marked.

There is a DC motor on the end of your steering column under the dash. The position sensor is in the motor assy on the end of your steering column shaft. You have to remove your steering column, then take the assembly off of the column. You need to dissemble the assembly by removing a large snap ring, then the cylindrical cover comes off and the sensor is located right under the cover.
