There is no radiator "cap". There is a radiator plug located on the left-hand side of the radiator on the top. The actual "cap" is on the cream/white colored resevior on the left side of the engine compartment next to the battery. The black cap on there has two valves inside it that allow the pressure to escape when it becomes to great for the system.
what will cause the over flow to over heat
clog in radiator. drain radiator by removing cap on bottom remove cap on top fill top with water see if drains out bottom. or possibly an air pocket trapped in cooling system. make sure to bleed the air from the system.
