installing airmatic pump on a2001 s500
To reset the airmatic on a 2000 S500, remove the relay of the airmatic pump. It is in a slot O on the passenger side. It is most likely to be stuck on the on position. Then slip it back in.
Yes
Having the same problem, i believe it to be at the back left side under the bonnet. (Apparently there are 2 fuse boxed there and 1 under the back seat.)
Trunk< under left panel>
Yes
The fuel filter for your s500 is located on the rear passenger side under the car about 12 inches from the tire,, also theres the fuel pumps
Rear wheel drive. Some models on that platform were also offered in four wheel drive configuration, although I don't believe the S500 was one of them (don't quote me on that, though, as I'm no expert on Mercedes cars).
i can't detect key for satart
it is located under the rear seat on the right side
the fuel filter is on the side of the rear passenger seat in front of the gas tank. you have to remove a plastic cover to get to it.
The relay is located in the right front of the engine compartment passengers side. There will be a black cover, release the 2 slide clips and remove the cover for access. The designation for the relay is K40/7ko.If your looking in at the relays from the passengers side of the engine compartment it should be the 4th relay from the left, once you pull the relay off it will have a designation under it. It should read O.The fuse is in the same compartment. It's the first 40amp large orange fuse next to the 60amp large fuse. Check with ohm meter because the fuse is hard to determine if blown by the eye.
