For U.S. silver dollars, the mintmark is located on the reverse of the coin under the eagle. For Morgan Dollars mintmark's are under the wreath and above the letters DO in DOLLAR. Peace Dollars have mintmark's under the word "ONE" near the eagle's tail.
It's simple. A 1922 S silver dollar will have a S mintmark while a 1922 D silver ill have a D mintmark. The mintmark is located on the reserve below the word "ONE".
1892 Liberty silver dollar mint mark in on the reverse just above and between the D and O in Dollar at the bottom of the coin. Mine is marked with an S.
No D's in1928,but the S runs from $35.00 to $65.00 in circulated grades
No such coin as a 1977 E silver dollar. A Eisenhower dollar dated 1977 can only have a D or S mintmark and none are silver and the coin is just face value.

The mint mark on a 1924 Liberty Silver Dollar is located on the reverse side of the coin, below the eagle's tail feathers. Depending on the mint where the coin was produced, it can be found as a "D" for Denver or an "S" for San Francisco. If there is no mint mark, the coin was minted in Philadelphia.

The Denver mint did not strike any silver dollars in 1928. You may have a 1928-S where the S is indistinct. This coin is worth $20 to $30 depending on condition.
P-$1.50 D-Same as P S-$5 S Silver clad-$5-$8.
