The Sacré-Cœur is a Basilica which is a popular landmark in Paris, France, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The basilica is located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city.
Sacré Coeur, "Sacred Heart" is a very popular name for Catholic churches throughout the French-speaking world.
The most well-known one, however, is probably the Basilique du Sacré Coeur, the "Basillica of the Sacred Heart", which is in the suburb of Montmartre in northern Paris, France. It was built in 1875.
