Well, the Bible says: "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" (Romans 3.10) So i suppose that makes us all, men and women, wicked. However two women particularly, stand out to me: Eve, who is the Mother of us all - the first of all us sinners. And Jezebel, of whom God said: But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. (1Kings 21.25)
This saying is not in the Bible. But there is something similar in the Bible.Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Here Jesus is talking to a crowd of people who followed Him. He is saying to them if they put God first before all other things God would provide for them."All these things" refers back to verse 6 and those following.Jesus would not have said "if you are righteous" because the Bible clearly says that nobody is righteous before God:Romans 3:10 As it is written: "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE;Romans 3:11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS; THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS AFTER GOD.It is only by accepting Christ's death as payment for your unrighteousness can a person be made righteous.
