I have one with a serial number D4645XX.. not too much lower than yours, and I got it in early 1980. It's basically a Stevens Model 80, made for sears. Mine has been great, have put thousands upon thousands of rounds through it and have had almost zero problems with it... very accurate as well. As for value, have seen them sell (recently) for anywhere from $50 to $150. $100 seems about average for a clean one. As long as you keep lube on the little arm that kicks the shells up from the tube to the breech, and a drop or two of oil in the bolt area through the holes on the left side... you should never have a problem with it.
