Lower rear end of the engine
The 1993 Chevy Camaro starter can be found on the right hand side of the engine. You can follow the positive at three cable directly to the starter.
The starter relay on a 1996 Chevy 3.8l Camaro is located in the engine compartment along the left side. It sends power to operate the starter and prevents overloads.

The starter is located on the passenger side of the car attached by 2 bolts to the bell housing.

Begin by removing the positive cable from your 1993 Chevy Camaro battery. Remove the cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. The starter will come off.

The starter on an 89 Chevy Camaro is installed by placing the vehicle on jack stands, attaching the starter wires, and aligning it with the mounting holes. The bolts are place in the starter, torqued down, and the shroud cover attached.
