In the 1998 Lincoln Navigator, the air suspension compressor is typically located in the rear of the vehicle, often near the spare tire or on the driver’s side under the vehicle. It may be mounted to the frame or body, making it accessible for maintenance. Always consult the vehicle’s service manual for specific details and diagrams related to your model.

To reset the air suspension on a 1998 Lincoln Navigator, first ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface. Disconnect the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes to clear any error codes. Then, reconnect the battery and turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine. Finally, raise and lower the vehicle using the air suspension switch to reinitialize the system.
the air bag compressor is under the hood on the front driver side usually under the air filter box
The compressor will stay running only because there is a leak in the air system somewhere and the compressor is trying to play catch up.It will burn out if left to run continuously ...
