I understand it is under the transmission closer to back of car. Waiting for my new switch to come in to know more.- - - - -It's on the nose of the transmission. There's a frame rail under it, which makes getting to it entertaining.
Hi. The reversing light switch on the mondeo is on the gearbox. if you put the car up on ramps go under the car to the back of the engine on the passenger side there is a 17mm or 19mm nut with 2 wires in it. That's the reversing switch. Just disconnect the cable from the switch and undo the nut it will come out as 1 unit like a bolt. To replace do the same in reverse . DON'T ATTEMP TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE SWITCH OUT IT WILL LOSE GEARBOX FLUID. (NOT GOOD) have a friend to take u to the shop for a new one. Hope this helps
you will need to remove the air filter and under that there is all the rubber hydraulic pipes and wires to the engine on a plastic cover over the gear box the switch is under this cover next to the clutch swing arm
under the bonnet
The reversing light switch on a Renault laguna is in much the same as on many other cars. Basically it links to the gearbox or the gear lever, so that when the gear lever is at the reverse position it engages the switch. On the laguna it is on the gearbox near to the left hand end (from the drivers view). You must remove the left front wheel to see it more clearly and possibly the plastic under-engine plastic shield. The switch is normally open, and shorts out when you engage reverse, so you can test it with an ohm meter.
i believe it is under the bonnet at the top left corner a red switch.
Inside the fuse box under the bonnet.
On the driver side under the bonnet right side wall
