Where is the tail light bulb on a 1998 Saturn sl2 and how do you get to it?

First, smash everything with a hammer until you can get to the bulb. The bulb should have a part number on the base. Replace with same bulb bought from autoparts store. Couldn't have been easier, eh?

∙ 14y ago1. Remove the plastic nut (holds the side cargo netting on) and peel back the hard fabric side wall to expose the area behind the tail light.
2. Remove the 3 plastic nuts holding the tail light fixture in place. Pull out fixture.
3. Twist the proper bulb holder to release it from the fixture and change the bulb.
4. If it's the LED set that needs replacing, there are two sets of 4 screws holding it in (and you will have to detach one or both sets of wire connectors to work efficiently at unscrewing it.
5. Replace fixture and screw on 3 plastic nuts.
6. Put back the hard fabric siding (tuck it in). Replace plastic nut and reattach side cargo netting.
