at the top hose from rad. at engine
In a 1983 Toyota Tercel, the thermostat is located in the engine compartment, specifically at the end of the upper radiator hose where it connects to the engine. To access it, you'll need to remove the hose and the thermostat housing, which is typically secured by bolts. Make sure to drain some coolant before starting the procedure to avoid spills.
The fuel pump on a 1983 Toyota Tercel is located inside the fuel tank. It sucks fuel from the tank and pushed to the engine.

To replace the thermostat on a 1983 Ford Lincoln Continental, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Drain the coolant from the radiator, then locate the thermostat housing, typically near the engine block. Remove the housing bolts, take out the old thermostat, and clean the mating surfaces. Install the new thermostat with the correct orientation, reattach the housing, refill the coolant, and reconnect the battery.

The thermostat on a 1983 Porsche 944 is located at the engine's front, near the water pump. To access it, you'll need to remove the intake manifold and the thermostat housing. The thermostat itself is housed within this housing, which controls the flow of coolant to the engine. Make sure to replace the gasket when reinstalling the housing to prevent leaks.
Yes. You should be able to get to it by removing the rear seat, but some you can't and you have to remove the fuel tank.
From what I've gathered googleing and talking to co-workers, (im about to try this afternoon to replace mine). Follow the hoses from the radiator, one will go to the water pump, the other will go to the engine/thermostat. Once the thermostat is located, there is a houses over it that needs to be removed to get at the thermostat. I have also read you should drain all the coolant out before starting, one or two people I've talked to said you can leave the coolant in so preceed at your own risk. (im going to try and drain mine) Remove the housing cover, remember how the thermostat is orientated in the engine for later installation, replace the thermostat putting the new one in the same way the old one came out. Replace housing and hoses, refill the coolant, run the engine and heater to bleed out any air. Once the engine cools down, check the coolant level again. Hope that helps.
On my 1990 Tercel it turns counter-clockwise. It's in there tight, but mine came out. Spray some penetrating oil on it first and let it soak. You don't want to break it off when it comes out. Especially if it's been in there for awhile.
Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose.Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose.
