I found the thermostat on a 1993 Nissan 240SX (KA24DE, 2.4liter DOHC). It is approximately 2 inches to the left, and an inch or two above the fan pulley. There is a large hose going into it. The large hose coming from the top of the radiator going into the engine block DOES NOT go to the thermostat, but where IT enters the engine block you will see a small bolt for bleeding air from the cooling system. I needed to bleed air after installing the new thermostat - this was evident by the fluctuation in engine temperature before the bleeding process. Good luck, Alan
There were 1390 made!!
I think you have to follow the lower radiator hose to the engine block.
it is located where the top radiator hose enters the motor, inside the bolt on metal housing that the hose clamps to.
On 1989-1994 240SX, Top speed only goes to 115mph due to VSS. 240SX is not exactly known for topspeed but stability, and for the motor Torque since it was actually used for Nissan Trucks. 1997 Nissan Hardtop for ex.
A 180 and a 170 degree thermostat are listed for it.
On a 1994 Nissan Sentra with a 1.6 engine, the thermostat is located on the engine's cylinder head, near the top radiator hose. You will need to remove the housing that covers the thermostat to access it. It's typically secured with bolts and may require draining some coolant for replacement. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting to service the thermostat.
Where is the thermostat
On my 95 pickup with 4 cylinder engine, the thermostat is located where the lower radiator hose enters the engine block. Hope this helps.
its right in front of the motor one of the silver pipes... take out the rad and then take the fan off for good acsess... then pull the thermostat off.
The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing at the engine end of the top radiator hose.
Follow the upper radiator hose to its end. The thermostat is located right about there.
Thermostat is on the right had side of the engine (passenger side) as you face the engine. It fits in horizontally (below distrubtor). It is difficult to reach. MAKE SURE YOU BUY A THERMOSTAT WITH A GASKET!!. I changed one, 3 hour job..
