Follow the upper rad hose to the engine and it is in the housing there. When replacing it make sure the spring goes toward the engine. In a 2.2L engine the thermostat is inside the lower radiator hose. Where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine there's a metal housing. Undo the two bolts and separate the two halves of the housing, the thermostat is inside.
The thermostat is located under the housing cover bolted on the motor. follow the top radiator hose to the motor. the thermostat is under the hose flange that the radiator hose attaches to.

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank
The thermostat is on the water pump.(the left side in the front of the car) 2 screws to take out that's all
The thermostat is located under the elbow of the upper rad hose on top of the intake manifold.
They are located underneat the front passenger side front fender.
it should be located right on the back of the wheel assembly
I'm having a hard time finding the bleeder screw for my clutch on a 96 Chevy Cavalier 2.2? Can you help?
