Passenger side. Its that flat cover with all those screws in it. It is a big process to get off.
It is under the timing cover, driven by the timing belt.
the pump is timing belt driven and is located under the timing belt cover recommend replacing the timing belt at the same time.

its on the right side of the valve cover, near the power steering pump.
it is located on the topside of the crank sprocket behind the timing cover.
The water pump is at the bottom of the engine, bolted on the back side of the timing cover. The pump can be removed without remove the timing cover.
Never as the 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier does not have a belt, it has a chain that should last the life of the engine.
The PCV is usually located in the valve cover(s). They just slip into a rubber grommet; no tools required.

It will cost you nothing because your Cavalier has a timing chain and not a belt. The chain is designed to last the life of the engine.
