The only "monster" on Nabooti Island is a monster tortoise, which you can lure with the Opuntia Fruit (cactus fig) found on the trail at the Mountains of the Moon.
You use it at the Kaya Forests to lure the sleeping tortoise.
The tortoise can be moved by luring it with a Cactus Fig (Opuntia Fruit) that is found on the upper trail at the Mountains of the Moon. Click "use" and the tortoise will eat the fig.
The trader at Nabooti has the fingo. When you have lured away the tortoise and dug up the Ebony Elephant, you can swap it for the fingo, and return it to the Kaya Spirits.

The tortoise on Poptropica is on Nabooti Island. It is in the Kaya Forest. To awaken it, you have to go into your inventory and Use the red fig or whatever food that is. The tortoise will come and eat the fig, and you can use your shovel to dig right where it was sleeping.

You can get the tortoise to move by getting the Opuntia fruit (cactus fig) from the trail on the Mountains of the Moon. Once you lure the tortoise, you can dig at the spot. You are actually unearthing the Elephant Carving, which you will swap at Nabooti for the "fingo" (talisman) that the Kaya Spirits are seeking. They will give you the green jewel. The carved elephant figure is buried where the tortoise was sitting at the Kaya Forests. Take the carving to Nabooti and trade it with the lady on the left. You get a fingo, or talisman, that you can return to the spirits of the Kaya Forest. They will give you the Green Jewel.
Dig up the ancient artifact (an ebony elephant) where the tortoise was sleeping. The Kaya Spirits appear and ask you to recover their fingo. Take the artifact to nabooti, swap it for the fingo, and return to the Kaya Spirits.
