Where is the transmission cap located to fill tansmission fluid on a 1995 ford thunderbird?
Passenger side rear of engine
You can't the transmission on the 2002 Thunderbird is sealed. There is no distick or any way to add fluid other than through the ports on the transmission under the car. The dealer has to do that. It shouldn't need fluid unless it has a leak. If it is leaking it has to be done by a mechanic that will fix the leak and then drain the entire transmission and refill it through the ports…
Its probably that your tansmission is shot, either that or you havnt changed the transmission fluid and it may be dirty and built up and or the filter hasn't been changed in a while. If you look at the transmission fluid and its not a redish color and its like brown almost a oil color than you will have to bleed it out and refill with fresh transmission fluid.
If you are standing by the nose, facing the car, it is on the left side of the engine, all the way in the back. The dipstick can be identified easily by a loop, from which you can pull it out with. At the bottom of the dipstick, there is an indicator so you can test the transmission fluid while it is either cold, or hot.
