the drain plug will be on the front side of the transaxle. and the fill plug will be right above it.
Ther is no drain plug in the transmission

I hope you mean the primary drain plug. Because I have never got metal out on my transmission drain plug. The primary drain plug is on the clutch side. The transmission is on the other side. The primary will have metal on it. If the transmission plug has metal on it check your clutch to made sure it is working right. The clutch may need to be adjusted
