how do i fill up the transmission fluid
It is important to check and maintain fluid levels in a car. To check the transmission fluid, a person looks for the red cap under the hood, this is the transmission dipstick.
go on bing.com
there is no tranny dipstick on Audi's. the transmission fluid level is checked and serviced like that of a manual transmission. there is a drain and fill plug on the transmission oil pan itself. an excellent source of Audi service information can be found at Blauparts website.
It's a sealed unit, so there is no dipstick. Supposed to be maintinance free, but a lot of people do recommend changing the fluid and filter inside the transmission case. It's a pretty big job, so a pro is recommended
If there is no dipstick then there will be a fill hole either on the top or the tranny or on the side. It will be easier if you can put it up in the air to see.
sadly their is not a dipstick they desined theese cars to be serviced by a pro...
I have purchased the ATF 1 transmission fluid for my Audi A6 1996.
You have to take it to the dealership to be check. It has to be at a set temp. to check, with a special tool.
