First aid for conc. acid burns is massive amounts of running water to dilute the acid. then at the hospital, I'd imagine that they would treat the wound much like physical damage or burn to the skin because at that point the acid is usually not a factor in terms of toxicity.

this doesn't apply to HF though, that stuff gets absorbed through the skin and can cause acute toxicity

What is the name of H2SO4 acid?

sulfuric acid or sulphuric acid

What is a correct statement about sulfuric acid?

Sulfuric acid is a strong mineral acid with the molecular formula H2SO4. It is highly corrosive and has numerous industrial applications, including in the production of fertilizers, batteries, and chemicals. Sulfuric acid is also used for cleaning and etching metals and in wastewater treatment processes.

Why is Concentrated sulfuric acid a weaker acid compared to dilute sulfuric acid?

Concentrated sulfuric acid can act as a weaker acid compared to dilute sulfuric acid because in concentrated form, there are fewer water molecules available to donate protons, leading to fewer acidic reactions. Dilute sulfuric acid, on the other hand, has more water molecules to facilitate proton donation, making it a stronger acid.

How is sulfuric acid formed and what are its properties and uses?

Sulfuric acid is formed by combining sulfur dioxide and water. It is a strong acid that is highly corrosive and can cause burns. Sulfuric acid is commonly used in the production of fertilizers, batteries, and chemicals. It is also used in industries such as mining, oil refining, and wastewater treatment.

What type of substance is produced from the reaction of burned sulfur to water?

The reaction of burned sulfur with water produces sulfuric acid, which is a strong mineral acid with the chemical formula H2SO4. Sulfuric acid is highly corrosive and commonly used in the production of fertilizers, batteries, and various industrial processes.

What is the formula of sulfuric acid is .?

Sulfuric acid is H2SO4

Where to get sulphuric acid to drink?

Sulfuric acid is highly corrosive, and would be fatal if ingested. It is not available for retail purchase.

What human activity contributes the most to sulfuric acid concentrations in the atmosphere?

Burning fossil fuels, particularly coal and oil, is the most significant human activity contributing to sulfuric acid concentrations in the atmosphere. When these fuels are burned, sulfur dioxide (SO2) is released into the air, which can then react with oxygen and water vapor to form sulfuric acid.

Where is sulfuric acid found in fertilizers?

Sulfuric acid

What is the percent sulfuric acid contained in concentrated sulfuric acid?

Concentrated sulfuric acid typically contains around 98% sulfuric acid by weight. This means that for every 100 grams of concentrated sulfuric acid, 98 grams are sulfuric acid and the remaining 2 grams are water.

What raw materials are used to make sulfuric acid?

Sulfur dioxide is formed by the combustion of sulfur. One of the principal ways of leakage of sulfur dioxide to air is through the sulfuric acid industry. Another way is the burning of material which are made out of vulcanized rubber that contains sulfur.

Does fertilisers have sulphuric acid in?

Some fertilizers contain sulfur as a nutrient source, but sulfuric acid is not typically found in fertilizers. Sulfuric acid is a strong acid that is used in industry for various purposes, such as in chemical manufacturing and as a pH adjuster in water treatment.
