You cannot bypass this sensor.
The intake air temperature sensor on a 2005 Subaru WRX is part of the mass air flow sensor. It is located in the air intake duct.

Under the alternator above the crank pully. 10mm bolt.
One is in the exhaust manifold on the passenger side, the other is in the exhaust after the dowpipe.
The engine should be able to fly because the camshafts are hollow, just likea bird's bones.
