That model year may have used a geared mechanical mechanism and a cable going from it to the speedometer. If it is electronic (which I don't think it was, but I'm not 100% certain), the VSS would be located at the top of the transmission output shaft.
it is located next to the ecm behind glove box
On a 1991 Camaro RS, the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) buffer is typically located on the transmission. Specifically, it can be found on the tailshaft of the transmission, where it connects to the speedometer cable. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and inspect the rear section of the transmission. Be sure to check the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams related to your model.
If you are talking about the speed limiting of the vehicle, that is part of the programming in the computer.
Code 33 means: Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) or circuit
The VSS is located in the top left hand side of the transfer case.
the 02 senser is on the manifold by the firewall on the passenger side under the hood [ behind and undr the spark plugs]
PREVIOUS ENTRIES STATED THAT THE VSS IS LOCATED NEXT TO THE OIL FILTER NEAR THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE.GOOD LUCK!...BB
Follow the passenger side axle to the transmission, the sensor is located in housing the axle fits into.
The vehicle speed sensor is in the top of the transmission near the rear motor mount it held in by one ten millimeter bolt. right below the intake tube remove it and look down below the intake.
crank senser....
I would check the connection at the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission and the ground connection under the dash. It could also be a bad vehicle speed sensor. Pick up a Haynes repair manual for your year truck at a automotive parts supply store such as Advanced Auto.
no an automatic has a sensor it reads to down shift and driving habits including the dreaded crank senser and cam pickup
