This has been a confusing topic for a long time. In the gospel of Luke 15:7 KJV ...joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth... vs. 10 reads ...there is joy in the presence of the angels...KJV. The "joy" that is talked about is not the joy of the angels, but the joy of someone in the presence of the angels. This could be alot of different people. Who is in the presence of the angels?? Well God for one, Jesus himself, Loved ones that have gone on before us, Pretty much all that are in heaven except the angels. Thes angels are there, but the joy isn't theirs. The joy belongs to those that are in the presence of the angels. This confusion is brought about by the new translations of the King James Version of The Bible. People seem to think that it is OK to change the word of God and by doing so they create their own doctrine. So stay with KJV and dont buy into every fable that comes along. Revelation 22:18-19 gives us a firm warning not to mess the the word of God. But what is more important is that you are born again, through faith and trust in Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Hope this helped,
