Under the timing belt cover. It is driven by the timing belt.
water pump, or coolant pump, is located just above the crankshaft pulley. It attaches to the power steering pump as well. If you are facing your engine it will be behind the alternator, above the crankshaft pulley, attached to the timing belt cover.
I have a 2006 Hyundai tiburon. I have the same problem. Had the computer module changed but it continues to happen. The dealer says that water is getting in the motor and causing it to stop. That is not acceptable

you have to remove the belts and water pump pulley the water pump is located behind the timing cover.
Drill a hole through the drivers side firewall near (if it's a M/T) the slave cylinder reservoir. Feed the wire through (it will be located near the clutch pedal - if M/T) and cover the exterior with wire lume or epoxy to prevent water from coming in
